David Bowie, Måneskin and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts

David Bowie/Ziggy Stardust [1972-1974]:
David Bowie is considered one of the defining artists of the Glam-Rock genre, with the introduction of his on-stage persona Ziggy Stardust.
Ziggy Stardust began in February 1972, when Bowie dressed in costume with dyed red hair to perform with The Spiders From Mars in Kingston. From then, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars was released in June 1972. It was a mixture of The Man Sold the World’s Hard Rock and Hunky Dory’s Experimental Rock and Pop. The elements of the album combined with the elements of his on-stage persona, created one of the defining moments in Glam-Rock and arguably the founder of Glam-Rock.

Måneskin [2016 - present]:
Måneskin are an Italian rock band composed of Damiano David, Victoria de Angelis, Ethan Torchio and Thomas Raggi. They focus their artistic abilities on Glam-Rock, Pop-Rock and Alternative-Rock – gathering their inspiration from artists like David Bowie, Harry Styles, The Rolling Stones and Marlene Kuntz. According the band, the purpose of Måneskin is "a translation of the music of the past into modernity“, which compliments their appearance that is a mixture of modern glam and 70’s glam.

Joan Jett and The Blackhearts [1975-present]:
Joan Jett and The Blackhearts were originally composed of members of the L.A Punk/Punk-Rock scene, since then members have been alternating leaving the current bad composed of Jett, Dougie Needles, Hal B. Selzer and Michael McDermott. They continued to produce a range of Rock, Punk-Rock and Hard-Rock albums and singles.
Focusing further on Joan Jett, who is consider the ‘Godmother of Rock’ paved the way for many future Female Rock artists and bands.
